Petite Cross

This is another version of the Occitan cross also known as the cross of Languedoc, la Croix d’Occitania, or the Toulouse Cross. It is the symbol of Occitania, the region that includes part of Spain, southern France, Monaco and parts of northern Italy. The design has its origin around 1000 years ago and was designed as the family crest for the Count of Toulouse and was very popular in Medieval times.

This version is solid sterling silver and was really a lot of work to create. There are actually 27 individual pieces and 27 individual welds that had to be cut and shaped. I can sell this in plain silver or add a gem in the center. The one shown is a garnet but any birthstone would work. I can also do it in gold if you prefer.

I really think it would look very cool in silver but with a small diamond set in a gold setting.
