My Inspiration.
Where some see the mundane I see the sublime. A rusted pitchfork, a neglected bowl of succulents. Beauty. Some may call it my bent imagination but I prefer to think of it as my unique perspective.
My Roots
Most of my life I was based in Northern California where I developed my artistic talents as a sculptor and designer. My heart is still in the San Francisco Bay Area but since the summer of last year my new home is southern France, where I my soul feels at home.
Southern France
I’m lucky to have landed in a village called Sommieres. Founded under Roman rule and expanded during the Medieval Age Sommieres is awesome. My stone villa was built before the United States even existed. From my window I see the ruins of a dominant castle and the vineyards and olive trees planted 500 years ago. This change in scenery from Cali to France has rejuvenated my need to create. Jewelry is now my medium. I hope you enjoy what I have made as much as I have enjoyed making it.
Heirlooms
All my pieces are envisioned and crafted with my goal to create heirloom pieces that will live on into eternity. Each piece is one of a limited edition and will never be produced for the mass markets.
I currently have three lines to select from. Each with a slightly different look and feel, meant to evoke specific feelings of beauty and confidence in those who wear them.
Here is a short description of each line.
BLACKTHORNE
Medieval, rebel, rock and roller, mystical, sexy, think Johnny Depp or Pink
Bigger, bolder. Reds and black and lots of purple.
LADY HAWTHORNE
Medieval, princess, Romeo and Juliet, sensual, feminine, really sparkly. Pinks, lavender, baby blue, ravishing reds.
La Croix Occitane
My modern twist on the historic Occitane cross, first used in South western France in 1165 by the count of Toulouse.
Feel free to contact me to discuss any of my work.
Thanks,
Craig
